The Yugoslav Drama Theatre has been the leading theatre since its establishment, in 1947, much like the Moscow MHAT. After its rich and successful history setting high professional artistic standards, in 1997, the Yugoslav Drama Theatre suffered a catastrophic fire, in which everything was burned and ruined.
Svetlost Teatar made the entire Design Documentation for the Theatre’s technologies as a gift after the fire.
After the Design phase, the building started in 2001.
Svetlost Teatar equipped the Theatre’s Main and Small Stage entirely.
The upper stage machinery features a safety curtain, smoke escapes, a grid and galleries, fire and acoustic door, acoustic textile curtain dividing the stage and preparation area, 52 across-the-stage electromechanical hoists, 35 manual hoists, 4 lighting battens, cyclorama hoist, the main curtain, stage curtains, 36 custom-made lighting hoists, a motorized Rollo Film screen.
Understage machinery features 2 Orchestra platforms, 4 Stage double decker platforms of 25m2 with a secondary tilting system, actors’ elevator, mobile motorized turntable, stage floor, dancefloor.
The Main and Small stage Control system, Main cabinets, Drive Cabinets, Consoles, Service system, Cable management and installation.
Stage lighting system devices- Main and Small stage-Dimming system, main and back up Consoles, Luminaires, house lighting control system, Control network, Effects equipment, Stands, Mobile touring system.
Sound and Video system included Sub systems- Sound and Video Studio, Main reinforcement system for the Main and Small stage, Surround system, PA system, Stage manager desks, Microphones, Video projectors, Digital Camera system, Consoles and processing, Technology furniture.

The theater was opened on 23 May 2003.
